Overnight Crime Report: Two Armed Robberies, Rape, Infant Death


On Monday (3.22) the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) logged responses to four major offenses including a stickup at the St. Claude Rally’s, a 40-year-old rape, and an Armed Robbery. In addition, authorities note that an infant died of unknown causes overnight. 


Man Arrested for Shooting 3-Year-Old


A 23-year-old man has been booked for a list off serious charges after accidentally shooting a 3-year-old child on Tuesday (1.26) night according to the New Orleans Police department (NOPD).

Crack Clampdown


A citizen tip resulted in a bust at an alleged Algiers crack house on Wednesday (4.08). The New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) Street Gang Task Force Unit arrested three men on drug charges, rescued a baby, and seized a stash of crack after the dust had settled.


Five-Week-Old Baby Missing


47-year-old Sarah Harris was supposed to take care of five-week-old Tristan Cayden Douglas while his mother worked. Instead, the infant and his babysitter are both missing.

Drew Brees has certainly left a legacy in New Orleans. Breesus is also leaving a legacy on the homefront. Today, the quarterback and wife Brittany announced the birth of their fourth child.


EWE's 'The Governor's Wife' Premiers Tonight (VIDEO)


Today, the Saints put 35 points on the board, and tonight former governor Edwin Edwards will try to score some (Nielsen) points of his own. The Silver Fox's much ballyhooed reality television show, The Governor's Wife, debuts at 9p.m. tonight on A&E. Edwards' wit and Gonzales charm abound in the opener.


Two-Year-Old Girl's Death Ruled a Homicide, Mother Charged


UPDATED 6:30 p.m.

A two-year-old girl's death is being treated as a homicide, according to New Orleans police. The girl died at a hospital about 1:25 p.m. Tuesday, after being found unresponsive at a residence in the 4100 block of Gibson Drive in Gentilly.
