Watch: Anthony Davis on Jimmy Kimmel Live

Last night, Anthony Davis appeared on late night talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live to discuss everything from pet monkeys, his clothing line, and how he secures his position as power forward (we bet you can't guess how). Watch the clips below.

Today in NOLA 2.23.17

It's a new era for the Pelicans, with DeMarcus Cousins making his debut with the team tonight following a massive NBA trade. An illuminated bicycle parade rolled during Carnival on this day in 1887. Celebrate this 130 year anniversary by hitting up Knights of Babylon, Chaos or Muses — all parading along the Uptown-St. Charles route. Read on for more tonight.

Low Brow: Davis Could Lose 23 MIl

Anthony Davis’ season came to a disappointing end on Sunday (3.20) when the Pelicans announced that the franchise’s star is done for the season due to injury. The Brow is most likely just as frustrated as Birds fans whose playoff hopes are all but destroyed at this point. After all, Davis stands to lose 23 million dollars on account of his early departure.

Brow Breaks Records & the Internet

On Sunday (2.21) night, Anthony Davis branded his name into the NBA record books. The Pelican posted and pulled down 20 rebounds. Ina addition to topping the franchise scoring list, he became only the third player in the last 50 years post 55 points and 20 rebounds in a single game. Such gaudy stats elicited analysis from media beyond the sporting world.

Birds Lay Egg In Opener, But Look Ahead

The Birds are the word and it’s time to take flight. The Pelican’s season kicked off against the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday (10.27) night. They lost against the defending champions, 111-95. Fortunately it’s an 82 game season and in no way, fate has been written.

Shorty & the Tall Men (Watch New Pelicans Open)

The Pelicans have plenty fodder for highlight reels, but when it comes to a soundtrack, the edit suite had to call in a native New Orleanian. Today, Fox Sports rolled out a new opening segment featuring Trombone Shorty to air during the Birds’ 2015 season.

Graham Out at Saints, Calipari Not-In at Pels

New Orleans sports fans will be saying good-bye to one player. However, it looks like they might not be saying hello to one coach. Today, the Saints released kicker Shayne Graham and Kentucky hoops coach John Calipari said that he will not be moving to the Boot.

Takeaways From the Pelicans Playoff Return (& Exit)

On Saturday (4.25), the New Orleans Pelicans were eliminated from the NBA playoffs. Fans will have to wait until next year to see Pierre and the Kingcake Baby again. However, management will be busy. There is plenty to learn from NOLA’s return to the postseason.

Broken Birds: Anderson, Davis Injured

Updated 14:26

The Pelicans have shown signs of life before. Prior to the recent rays of hope, the Hornets showed signs of life. Before that, the same could be said of the Jazz. Yet, it seems that every time New Orleans starts to establish a presence on the hardwood, injuries intervene. Last night (2.21), Pels stars Ryan Anderson and Anthony Davis both left a game versus Miami due to injury, but this time the team held on and logged an emphatic 105-91 win.

Brow Seat

Pelicans faithful have anxiously been waiting for Anthony Davis’ return to hardwood. Now, the rest of the nation will join them. The Brow announced that due to his pesky right shoulder strain he will sit out the All-Star weekend.
