No Terror Lockdown Planned for NOLA

    Following the horrific terror attacks in Belgium Tuesday (3.22) morning national media is splashed with images of paramilitary units in body armor toting automatic rifles patrolling major American cities. However, in New Orleans, we will not be subject to many visible escalations in security.

Supporters & Protesters at Trump Rally

On Friday (3.04) night, Donald Trump bought the circus to the Lakefront Airport. The rally was described as one of the rowdiest of the campaign. Outside the hangar, protesters were out in force. Inside the event, the sound was off and constant ejections interrupted the stump speech. At one point, a man holding a "K.K.K. 4 Trump" was even thrown out. Timothy Parris was on the scene to capture it all.

If it seems like more people are visiting New Orleans, that’s probably because they are—at least by air. Louis Armstrong International Airport (MSY) announced an all-time record high in total passenger numbers in 2015.

As the investigation into an assault at Louis Armstrong International Airport (MSY) continues details are emerging. A Saturday (3.21) afternoon press conference with authorities including Mayor Mitch Landrieu, Jefferson Parish Sheriff Newell Normand, and Acting TSA Administrator Mel Caraway began to fill in the blanks.

MSY Offers Non-Stop Flights to Jamaica

Layovers are becoming a thing of the past for beach-bound travelers flying out of MSY. Starting May 17, 2014, New Orleans will offer seasonal non-stop flights to Montego Bay, Jamaica. Last summer, MSY offered similar deals to Cancun, which will resume in the summer of 2014. 

Fight Grounds Flight in New Orleans

Two Southwest Airlines passengers tested the limits of freedom to move about the country this morning, and lost. A flight en route to Las Vegas from Fort Lauderdale was diverted to MSY after what amounted to a fistfight broke out on the plane, FBI Special Agent Kyle Harnahan said.
