Report: Brees Out Several Weeks


WhoDats began 2015 with Lombardi Gras dreams swirling in their head, but the path to ‘Aints is paved with good intentions. After a dismal 0-2 start, the news got worse. NFL.com is reporting that Drew Brees may be sidelined with a shoulder injury for several weeks.

On the first Sunday of the NFL’s 2015 season, Eli lost and Peyton won. A third Manning (who was not Archie) also made an appearance. The Fox network gave Cooper Manning his own show. Drew Brees was the first guest on the weekend debut of “The Cooper Manning Hour.”

LSU v. Miss St. Plotlines



After last week’s LSU rainout, the Louisiana football faithful will be treated to two openers this weekend. The Tigers are one of the SEC’s biggest mysteries in 2015. Pundits have picked the Purple n’ Gold to finish everywhere from first to last. Tonight’s game is the conference’s first serious matchup of ranked teams. There will be lots to watch including Leonard Fournette, a pair of high school rivals, and of course, the Mad Hatter.

Saints season starts tomorrow. Before settling in with some adult beverages and a spread before the matchup against the Saints, many WhoDats took the morning to get some exercise. Over 6000 fans descended on downtown for the annual Saints 5K Kickoff Classic.

Drew Brees made his much hyped survivalist debut on “Running Wild With Bear Grylls” on Monday (9.07) night. The QB wrestled crocs, ate termites, and jumped from a chopper over the course of the episode.

The national media has budgeted lots of ink for President Obama’s Alaskan adventures with television survivalist Bear Grylls. Down in SoLa, viewers are more interested in an episode featuring Drew Brees slated to run tonight.


What The Heck Happened To The LSU Opener?


Last night, the Tiger faithful ended their pregame revelry and settled into their seats to watch LSU take the field against McNeese State. Some people even saw Mike and the Golden Band from Tigerland not to mention about five minutes of play, but the game was ultimately cancelled. High School Football Player Fatally Injured During Game


Tragedy struck during a high school football game on Friday (9.04) night. A 16-year-old player was killed during a punt return according to Sheriff Kevin Cobb.


Country Roads Take Pels Home


After Thursday (8.13) night’s retro ‘Aints preseason opener, many WhoDats are questioning the team’s training regimens. However, Team Benson is doubling down on the system. This weekend, Executive VP Mickey Loomis announced that the group’s other team, the Pelicans, will also move their training camp to The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, W.V.

The NBA off-season has been busy for New Orleans. One head coach was fired, a replacement was hired, a burgeoning superstar signed an extension The Pelicans are set to soar. Like the New Orleans summertime lull, the NBA is also on break from the six-month long grind. However, for the Pels, the offseason was something closer to Mardi Gras with a flurry of moves and player intrigue capturing fans’ attention beyond the fabulous finals. The Pelicans are at a crucial point in franchise history with a real possibility of coalescing into a perennial playoff contender.
