Fournette's Consolation Prize

Leonard Fournette sixth place finish in the Heisman Trophy voting mirrored the disappointment of the LSU’s 2015 season. However, Fournette’s consolation prize is a bit better than the Tigers’ forthcoming trip to the AdvoCare V100 Texas Bowl. The NOLA native was named to the 2015 AP All-American First Team today.

New Orleans Bowl Teams Announced

It’s Bowl Season again. While most eyes are focused on the college football playoffs, locals know that there is another big game in da Dome. Today, organizers announced that Arkansas State University and Louisiana Tech University accepted invitations to the 15th Annual R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl on Saturday, Dec. 19.

Harper's Bizarre

An older, wiser Roman Harper took to the web to reflect on his championship season with Saints in 2009. Harper, who now boasts about his grey hairs, serves the role of an elder on the 11-0 Carolina Panthers. Having also played with 2009 Saints (who began their season 13-0), the safety decided to share his take on the differences between the two team in a Monday Morning Quarterback article.

Classic Attendance Numbers for the Classic

On Saturday (11.28), Grambling State blew out their nemesis Southern by a score of 34-23. However, a different set of numbers marked a victory for tourism in New Orleans. The attendance numbers were the highest logged by the annual matchup since the Storm.

The Quotable Les Miles

The Mad Hatter's Classic Quotes

The future of Les Miles' job at LSU is up for debate. However, there are some things about his past at the school that are certain, namely his quotes. Over the course of his tenure in Baton Rouge, the Mad Hatter was unrivalled as far as giving press. In honor of Miles' controversial career, NoDef offers up our favorite quotes from the man.

(Green) Wave Goodbye

Les Miles is not the only college football coach in Louisiana to come under pressure after a disappointing results. Tulane’s Curtis Johnson is out of a job after posting back-to-back 3-9 seasons.

Les Mess Spurs Conflicting Reports

Les Miles has never been easy to understand. Deciphering the meaning of the Mad Hatter’s press conferences pressers and quips has been a nearly academic pursuit spurring different schools and factions. So, it is no surprise that experts are split on his latest comments. Miles may have announced his departure from LSU today… then again, he might not have.

Horse Play

Thanksgiving Day Results From the Fair Grounds

Beyond the hats and the booze that are Thanksgiving at the Fair Grounds, there is also horse racing. For those readers who visited the parimutuel machines, but then had to dash out for Thanksgiving dinner (or imbided a bit too much), here are Thursday's (11.26) results and payouts.

Ryan's Last Round

Updated 2:35p.m.

Rob Ryan and the City of New Orleans seemed like a perfect fit. Ryan relished the local food, bought rounds at Mae’s, and took strolls around the Quarter. The only problem for the Saints Defensive Coordinator was, well, the Saints’ defense. Today (11.16), Fox Sports reported that Black n’ Gold fired Ryan ending the agony (and the occasional ecstasy).

LSU to Honor France
