The New Orleans Police Department saw twelve crimes hit the city on Saturday (7.8). According to the Major Offense Log (MOL), the NOPD responded to two suicides, three armed robberies, two property snatchings, homicide, two stabbings, attempted armed robbery, and an unclassified death.

The New Orleans Police Department saw eleven crimes hit the city on Friday (7.7). According to the Major Offense Log (MOL), the NOPD responded to two unclassified deaths, four armed robberies, property snatching, two attempted armed robberies, and two shootings. 

 


St. Roch Tavern Robbed Friday


The St. Roch Tavern (1200 St. Roch Ave.) was robbed at gunpoint on Friday (7.7) by a young man in his late teens or early 20s, according to a bartender who encountered the perpetrator. The bartender saw a young man enter the premises without identification and approach bar. He then threatened the bartender with a gun, striking and punching at her before making off with money.

The New Orleans Police Department saw seven crimes hit the city on Thursday (7.6). According to the Major Offense Log (MOL), the NOPD responded to two attempted armed robberies, three simple robberies, a shooting, and an armed robbery.

In addition to one of the rare gun-free days in the city, The New Orleans Police Department saw just three crimes hit the city on Tuesday (7.4). According to the Major Offense Log (MOL), the NOPD responded to an aggravated burglary, rape, and a carjacking.
